Biography
Kevin Perkins (b. 1987) lives and works in Dallas, Texas. His visual narrative depicts free-for-all type brawls with images derived from comics, 90s video-games and art history. The surface and content of his paintings lean on nostalgia as a point of reference to the question of who am I. Each character in the work serves as a representation of a part of the ego fighting to be the last man standing. Along with his art practice, Perkins is a father of three and has taught art in the Dallas public school system for the past 10 years.
