Marcia Wood Gallery is delighted to present a solo exhibition by Don Pollack
South of the Yellowstone. This will be Pollack’s eighth exhibition with the gallery. Don Pollack’s work explores the relationship between personal and collective mythologies.
The Chicago-based artist’s inspiration and sources has come from journeys and travel, with a
heightened awareness of the presence of history in the landscape. Believing that what defines
us as Americans is a mythic journey that includes the movement west and into the landscape,
Pollack’s artwork is a visually poetic homage to the storied yet shifting and transient
landscape that is inextricably bound to the construction of our identity.
With the upcoming exhibition, South of the Yellowstone, the artist delves into a deeply
personal history.
