Long Way Home 16 Mar - 11 Apr 2024 Marcia Wood Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition by New York-based artist William Steiger. In Long Way Home, Steiger uses his unique visual language to reimagine and reintroduce viewers to man-made objects as they might view them on a contemplative walk. Looking at Steiger's work is meant to evoke dreamlike visions, sharp and detailed but lacking the specificity of time or place. Bridges, mills, rivers & tunnels make up our habitual landscape, easily overlooked, but when considered from a new perspective, nuances rich with significance are revealed. Read more

Buoyant Force 16 Mar - 11 Apr 2024 Marcia Wood Gallery is pleased to present a solo presentation of work by Atlanta-based artist Scott Eakin. This is Eakin's fourth solo show with the gallery. In these new works on paper and acrylic paintings on panel, Eakin channels his language of geometric abstraction to capture a humor and lightness the artist has pursued since the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic. Using playful glints of bright color and ever-humorous titles such as 'Brando's Wig' and his works on paper series he calls 'Buoys' Eakin provides a welcome respite through creative exploration.
